Why is the music free?

The music on stockmusicnow.com is free because creative people need creative tools to be inspired and create. Music is one of those tools and is versatile and useful for many different kinds of purposes. There are plenty of people, groups, students, indie film makers, etc, that need music for their projects, but can't afford to purchase or license it. I enjoy making music and have been a composer/producer for over 15 years. In that time numerous friends and colleagues have asked for music for their various projects. I realized that there are probably many other talented people out there who could benefit from access to a free music catalog. So, I decided to create one.
